Saaho – Prabhas’s first film after the enormous success of Bahubali I and II – has the audiences excited. Produced by UV Creations and T-Series, Saaho’s trailer was launched on YouTube on August 10, 2019 in multiple languages. The trailer looks nothing short of an action-packed spectacle on screen.
While appearing alongside Shraddha Kapoor in an interview with film critic Anupama Chopra, Prabhas confirmed Saaho’s budget to be ₹350 crore. According to a report by DNA, an 8-minute action sequence in the film, which was shot in Abu Dhabi, cost the makers a whopping ₹70 crore. This sequence goes down as the most expensive scene to be ever shot in an Indian film.
He further revealed that four other films shifted their release to accomodate Saaho.
In the trailer, the character of Prabhas, who is playing an undercover police officer, is introduced by the character of Murali Sharma that goes, “Woh kissi bhi feel good film ke aane se pehle aane waale non-smoking ad ki tarha hai, content sahi hota hai, lekin visuals bohat hi disturbing hote hai”, while in cuts, we see Prabhas beat up goons in full swag.
The film’s teaser, which was released earlier, has also positioned itself as the second Indian film teaser, a little behind 2.0, to garner more than 80 million views combining its release in multiple languages.
While Saaho marks Prabhas’ debut in Hindi, it will also be Shraddha Kapoor’s debut film in South Indian cinema. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi on 30th August, 2019.
